Those interested in participating in visual arts meet and discuss work they did, or that of others, in the past month relating to a previously selected topic which have varied over the years from "Id" to "Vision" to "Red," topics which simply 'jump start' the artist to come up with ideas. The resulting pieces vary greatly, which makes for fun discussions. The artists then participate in a 'hands-on' project for the rest of the scheduled gathering time; one of the participants brings in a project to do, which can be completed in this time or then additionally worked on later

Ely Arts in the Park is an opportunity for local artists to sell their work in the park during the same evening as the Farmer's Market.
